CRS
- Certified Residential Specialist
- Considered the "PhD"
of Real Estate, only five percent of
REALTORS® nationwide have earned the CRS designation, which
requires significant actual real estate transaction experience,
hundreds of hours of advanced education and NAR
membership. CRS is a professional designation provided by the
Council of Residential Specialists and is also affiliated

- Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist
Members of The Institute who
hold the CLHMS designation have successfully
demonstrated their expertise in the luxury home
and estate market by meeting strict performance
requirements.

and has agree to abide by the high ethical standards
as set forth in the Code of

e-PRO
- Internet Professional
is an extensive on-line training program to certify real
estate agents as internet professionals and is
associated with the National Association of REALTORS®.

ABR
- Accredited Buyer Representative
is a professional designation
from the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC),
which a a part of the National Association of REALTORS®. To obtain the ABR designation, agents
must be members of the National Association of
REALTORS®, take a two-day course, pass a written exam,
close at least five real estate buyer transactions,
and receive letters of recommendation from at least
two of their previous buyer clients. There are

GRI
- Graduate REALTOR Institute
is a
professional designation for those who have graduated
from the REALTOR® Institute, also associated with the
National Association of REALTORS®. The GRI
training consists of 3 separate courses of 30 hours
classroom time each. While the real estate pre-license
courses in each state cover the laws and general real
estate information, the GRI courses go into much
greater detail on the day to day skills needed to
conduct business as true professionals. According to a
reference found on a RE/MAX site, it is for REALTORS®
"who have completed a comprehensive education
program in residential real estate. The program's
focus is on practical real estate training." |
